Sunshine Coast Regional Afternoon Report (Saturday 6th March 6:06pm) Small waves greeting us early along the open beach stretches in the thigh to stomach high range on the sets, with it being smaller inside those southern corners. Surf conditions and wave quality is fair to good earlier on being subject to light W-SW winds, coupled with the outgoing tide. Good options for those wanting to hit the surf early and ahead of freshening SE winds are the Northern Beaches, which is looking the best for size, definitely worth a sniff around the southern Kawana banks, with the central beaches of Maroochydore having a few fun low tide banks. Expect SE winds to start creeping in through the morning. (Low Tide Maroochydore 8:12am)
Rest Of The Day Outlook: Make the most of the better surf conditions through the morning, as wave quality and surf conditions will start to deteriorate as the SE winds come into play. During the afternoon expect wind affected surf along the open beaches, with the southern corners being more favourable. The south facing swell magnets attracting some larger South groundswell brought in by those SE winds later in the day. (High Tide Maroochydore 1:41pm) Enjoy your day in the waves. Spinksy
