Southwest Oz Regional Morning Report for Monday 1st March: SW swell is fading down now and the conditions are still fairly clean with light offshore winds. Wave size is dropping off but still holding fair at around chest to shoulder high with the occasional head high sets. Note that the labour day crowds will be into it thick this morning, trying to get the last session of the long weekend. Tide is just hitting a 611am low and will be making another lazy climb through the morning.
Rest Of Day Outlook: Size drops a notch or so heading into the afternoon as the primary SW swell tapers off. Sets expected to continue to offer up fun surf to better beachies and open exposures, getting more manageable for those looking for a bit less size, and with offshore wind due to continue fair conditions as well. Wind is expected to veer slightly more to the SSE for the back half of the day so the more open southerly exposed spots may again get a bit funky.
